   I paid $50 more at my local shop and got the 590 18.5 Retro grade with the heatshield

   Don’t know much about the shockwave. Does it have the same barrel mount dimensions as a standard 590 or does the shockwave have a shorter tube? Basically, could I buy this and swap the barrel to a longer one and put a stock on for hunting and then put this back on for home defense?
