   Really wish some of the American Rimfires would become more available. I should have got the one I wanted before the rona hit.

   Question for people with this and 10/22.

   How would this be for a kid? I bought my first son a 10/22 that’s threaded and sitting in the safe until he’s old enough. 2nd son is due soon, so time for another 22 to sit in the safe. I’m between getting another 10/22 or this. Both are threaded for my can, and both use the pile of ruger mags I’ve collected. My thought is buy a gun they’ll enjoy when they’re old enough to shoot but also enjoy as an adult.

   I’ve heard the standard Ruger American models can often be even more accurate than these, surprisingly. Can anyone else comment to that?

   Just waiting for an OD or bronze one to approach $400 or so.

   Which means I’ll be waiting until the grave but that’s my “fuck it, why not” price after seeing so many VERY mixed reviews about the accuracy of this being less than a 10/22 most of the time.
