I just got this email too. I know nothing about nods. Is this a good entry laser?

  2. PandaCatGunner

CQBL is priced very well too

  3. tubadude2

Currently looking at NODs and IR gear. I’m currently between showing some restraint and getting things that are a good value like ~~this~~ the D-2, and “fuck it, get a MAWL.”

  4. the_absolute_unit

    Holy shit that’s cheap

  5. Bobathaar

This isn’t the ir device you’re looking for. It’s not even the model with the IR illuminator… AND the vis laser isn’t slaved to the IR laser like on the cqbl sooo… worst of all worlds.

Even the I2 model WITH an illuminator has a weak ass illuminator that’s only good for 2 digit yardage… so get a d2, get a perst, get a mawl, or get one of the spiffy new age shit or a full power peq if you have a way to get it.

The only laser I’ve used was my PEQ in Iraq, so I’m a bit behind. But, why would I just get [this one](https://www.koshersurplus.com/product/steiner-dbal-i2-dual-beam-red-ir-aiming-laser-intelligent-black-9004/) instead? Seems like it’s the same unit, but with a red vis instead of green, right? It’s roughly $60 cheaper.

  7. Iggy_Smalls

Are there better options for just a laser? I don’t have any NV but do want a laser for personal/home defense and want something that will hold zero and be very reliable/robust.

Also, not break the bank. One of the reasons I’m asking since this is on sale.

  8. Hadowkai

Under what circumstance would you want to mount a red dot directly to a laser unit?

  9. Soggy-Bookkeeper

Is there a laser & light combo that looks like these?

  10. dudgems

Is there any reason to own a laser like this if you don’t have night vision? I know nothing about lasers or night vision.

  11. DigitalDeath849

You can literally see the IR laser with NODs without an illuminator you don’t need it unless you’re in a stupid dark (no ambient light at all) environment
