Does anyone have practical experience on valving the gas system at the BCG instead of the block? I’m intrigued, but I don’t understand the use case. Is it just convenience for long handgards?

Also, has anyone seen the RC Lightweights in stock? I’ve been looking for one for awhile.

I have an RCA carrier that I use in my 7.62×39 build and the nitriding is excellent. It cleans super easily which now that I read the description more closely makes sense:

    > Synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene to each part to reduce friction and improve wear

    That’ll do it.

    But also:

    > **1x Low Mass Steel Bolt Carrier**

This bcg is really light for a normal bcg and has a lightweight bolt carrier. It’s 9.1 ounces whereas a bcm bcg is 11.5 ounces and some companies go up to ~12.5 ounces. My lightweight toolcraft/brownells bcg is 8.2 ounces and the *titanium* bcg from RCA weighs 7.9 ounces. This thing is pretty damn light.

I personally believe semi-lightweight BCGs aren’t likely to be an issue so long as you have a flat wire spring and 9.1 ounces isn’t super light, but this is a lightweight bcg for those who are unaware.

Does anyone know about this “revolutionary” coating that eliminates the need for oil?

All I know is that I love my Bootleg. 3 left… Tick tock
