   Honest question from someone who owns this and the new Primary Arms Microprism. Why would anyone buy this over the microprism? I do have a bit of astigmatism so there are obvious benefits to the prism for me, but even if you didn’t and they were both clear, you have the advantage of the reticle being etched so it’s there even if your batteries die (and if there’s no sun for this one).

   If you’re thinking of this over a Romeo5, get the Romeo5 for $100 less… Solar is a total gimic.

   It does not charge the battery, it only powers the unit somewhat during the day — but without a battery it does not power it well enough to actually shoot against lit targets (dots too dim). It’s only really useful when shooting from a lit area into a dark area (without batteries)
