   this could be a great first pistol for someone to keep in the nightstand.

   I’d kinda prefer one with a manual safety, but that’s just me.

   At this price and considering that there is no manual safety:

   if you’re a veteran, you might also consider a glock17 or 19 as the blue label discount on a new glock should put it around this price point. might also consider shelling out the extra ~100USD to get the MOS version.

   I think sigs are overall better guns, but you’re not going to find cheaper accessories than with the glock.
